Meadow Brook Theatre in Rochester, Michigan will begin the hiring process for intern positions for our 2011-2012 season in January 2011. 

         Meadow Brook Theatre is the largest LORT Theatre in Michigan.  It sits on the campus of Oakland University.   We fully produce 5 shows a season as well as housing a children’s series.  We are looking for versatility in our interns, the ability to work in several different departments, if need be.

         Meadow Brook believes that their interns play an extremely important part in their theatre’s structure.  If the interns are willing and dedicated, then the season will be built on a good foundation.  MBT wants every intern to obtain the confidence needed to work in similar theatre environments as well as obtain many opportunities to apply your educational knowledge within a professional atmosphere. 

       Come play with MBT!  Specific internship positions may vary each season but are available in  technical departments, administration and performance. 

*PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNS MUST HAVE A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF LIGHTS (Hang and Focus)*

 Important information to know:

• Contract dates are approximately end of August  to mid-May.
• $200.00 per week (NO housing available)
• Work 48 hours a week (overtime will be honored after 48 hrs. have been worked within a week)
• Lending support to the departments assigned
• Once a month Intern meetings
• Mid and final season reviews
• Needs to be team oriented but can also maintain the stamina needed to work individually.
• Ability to switch departments if needed
• Including working for load-ins and strikes
• Cleaning
• Airport Runs
• A willingness to work long hours if needed
