Meadow Brook Theatre, in Rochester Michigan, is currently accepting resumes/applications for our 2013-14 season. Meadow Brook Theatre is the largest LORT Theatre in Michigan. It sits on the campus of Oakland University. We fully produce 6 shows a season. As well as housing a children’s series. We are looking for versatility in our interns, the ability to work in several different departments and a “Can do Attitude”.
Positions/descriptions available:
· 2 Acting/Administration Interns
o Would understudy for all shows
o Would audition for all shows and be considered for roles
o Would work in the Administration Offices
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
· 1 Scene Shop Intern
o Would work primarily in the Scene Shop – Scenic Paint skills a plus
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
· 1 Prop/Scene Shop intern
o Would work primarily in the Properties department however, would also work in the Scene shop if needed
§ Basic Sewing Skills
§ Basic Building Skills
§ Basic Scenic Paint skills
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
· 2 Costume Interns – 1 wardrobe position, 1 stitcher position
o Must know how to sew
o Wigs, make-up and Craft Skills a plus
o Would also work on the backstage crew
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
· 1 SM/PM Intern
o Would also work on a backstage crew
o Position includes points toward becoming equity
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
· 1 Lighting/Scene Shop Intern
o Would work in Light Department
o Would work in the Scene shop – Building skills a plus
o Would work on the backstage crew
o Would be involved in Light hang and focus calls
*PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNS MUST HAVE AT LEAST A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF LIGHTS (Hang and Focus).* AS WELL AS, BE WILLING TO WORK LOAD-IN’S AND STRIKES.

What is involved in this internship:
· Contract Dates are approx. September 2013 to June 2014
· $200.00 per week (NO housing available)
· A clear working knowledge of a Professional Theatre
· A 2 night performance, of a show that is directed, designed, produced, acted by the interns
· Lending support to the departments assigned
· Intern meetings
· Work 48 hours a week (overtime will be honored after 48 hrs. have been work within a week)
· Mid and final season reviews
· Needs to be team oriented but can also maintain the stamina needed to work individually.
· Ability to switch departments if needed
o Including working for load-ins and strikes
· Ability to “play well with others”
· Possess a sense of humor
· Possess a good/”can do” attitude
· Possess problem solving skills
· A willingness to learn
